Schnauzer
The Miniature Schnauzer is the smallest of the Schnauzer breeds, known for its lively personality, low shedding, and long lifespan. With a sturdy, compact build standing 12 to 14 inches tall, it’s an ideal family dog, adaptable to both apartments and farms. Their bushy beard and eyebrows give them a charming, human-like expression, and their wiry coat comes in salt and pepper, black and silver, or solid black. Originally bred as farm dogs and rat hunters, Minis are fearless but not aggressive, friendly, and easy to train. They get along well with kids and other pets, making great watchdogs and energetic playmates. Their double coat needs frequent brushing and grooming, with professional trimming every five to eight weeks. They shed very little but should be bathed monthly, with regular nail trims and ear checks to keep them healthy.
